SAIF was born out of a simple but urgent realization : while the world of visual storytelling is being revolutionized by artificial intelligence, no formal, structured training exists to help aspiring filmmakers master this new language of cinema. Founded by a seasoned industry professional with over two and half decades of experience in traditional film and broadcast, SAIF fills this critical gap — combining the foundational disciplines of filmmaking with the power of generative AI. It is a school for the curious, the courageous, and the creative — a place where the future of storytelling begins.

About the Founder
Abhijit Joshi, founder of School of AI Films wears many hats—cinematographer, director and teacher. But at the heart of it all, he’s a storyteller who followed his heart. After completing engineering from SGSITS, Indore and a very brief stint at BHEL, he chose the path less taken and dived into the world of cinematography when private television in India was just beginning to bloom.
Over nearly twenty five years, Abhijit has worked on just about everything—TV serials, big-ticket reality shows like KBC, Nach Baliye, Dance India Dance, Comedy Circus, etc. ; Live TV for Ten Sports (horse racing, every week for an year) and home-shopping channel StarCj (later ShopCj) as Senior DoP; many events like Fashions show, Mr. Universe, Femina Misss India, Zee Cine Awards, and The Unforgettable Show with the Bachchans, which toured to UK, US, West Indies and Canada. He has also worked briefly in Indonesia as DoP for Bahasa TV Series. He’s handled the energy of live shopping channels, the finesse of ad films, and the creative requirements of fictional shows deftly .
But Abhijit believes in sharing it all. His passion for teaching and his fascination with the creative possibilities of AI have come together in SAIF (School of AI Films). Here, he hopes to mentor a new generation of filmmakers who are ready to blend classic storytelling with powerful new tools.

A Note from the Founder
I have to confess something upfront— this website wasn’t built by a team of website developers. It was built by ONLY me, personally — of course, with the help of a range of AI tools.
I used AI tools to design layout , write content, generate images, videos, audio (syncing audio and video together with AI too) and shape every section you see. No developers, no copywriters, no photographers. Just the power of host of AI apps — and the ability to guide them. That is ‘Prompt Engineering’ - the new buzzword.
AI is not coming. AI is here. And, it’s replacing tasks, not always people — but it will only empower those who are prepared, who are trained, who are curious enough to explore it and disciplined enough to master it.
If you don’t learn AI now, someone else will — and they’ll be faster, more versatile, more employable than you — even if you’re more talented.
That’s why I started S.A.I.F. — not to teach filmmaking alone, but to prepare you for a future that’s already arrived.

Located in MIDC, Andheri (E) Mumbai, India, SAIF offers a unique filmmaking course. MIDC, Andheri (E) is the only location in Mumbai where all the three operational metro lines meet. In fact, it is just 10 minutes walking distance away from SEEPZ Metro station. Located centrally, SAIF can be reached from any corner of Mumbai.
