🎬 ABOUT SAIF

Q: What is SAIF?
A: SAIF stands for School of AI Films. We are India’s first, probably world's first full-time AI driven filmmaking academy focused on teaching how to create films using Generative AI tools — from script to screen.

Q: Where is SAIF located?
A: We are based in MIDC, Andheri (East), Mumbai, India — the heart of the Hindi film industry. The exact address is given in location on admission section. The MIDC, Andheri (East) area is only area in Mumbai which is serviced by all the three Metro lines which are operational.

Q: Who is behind SAIF?
A: SAIF is founded by Abhijit Joshi, an Engineer turned cinematographer with over 25 years of experience in the television and media industry (check About Founder in About Us section).

🧠 THE PROGRAM

Q: What does the SAIF course cover?
A: The 6-month program is divided into two parts:

• First 2 months: We teach traditional filmmaking skills — Scriptwriting, Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Sound recording and design, Art Direction, Production management, Make-up & Hair dressing, Costume design, Music and Acting. The students then are assigned roles. They all collaborate to create a short film so that all theoretical learning assimilates into a product.

• Next 4 months: We provide Intensive training in AI filmmaking — using leading generative tools for video, image, sound, animation, voice, and music.

Q: Is the course full-time or part-time?
A: It’s a full-time, in-person course. Classes run Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:15 PM.

Q: What is the batch size?
A: Each batch will have a maximum 40 students, allowing for deep interaction, project-based learning, and studio-level shooting experiences.

Q: Will I be using professional equipment?
A: Yes. The academy provides hands-on access to cameras, lights, sound gear, editing software, and AI platforms. You will also shoot live-action projects with guidance of supervisors

.Q: It is written on the website that students will get a laptop, backpack, etc. Will the laptop be mine to keep after the course?
A: Yes, absolutely. Every student will receive a high-performance laptop, along with a smart backpack to carry essentials like notebooks, pens, and tiffin. In addition, SAIF provides educational subscriptions worth up to $250 (approx. ₹21,000) to leading AI generative platforms — all included in your course package.

Q: Are these laptop and subscriptions necessary? Can I not take it and avail discount equal to the cost incurred on laptop and subscriptions on my fees instead?
A: No. At SAIF, we’re committed to providing a wholesome and equal learning environment. The laptop you receive is a carefully selected, AI-ready machine — capable of handling large video/audio files and real-time generative tasks. The app subscriptions are also essential for consistent training, ensuring every student has equal access to powerful tools.
We believe learning should never be limited by access or affordability. These resources are not optional add-ons — they’re part of our promise to equip every student fully and fairly for the future of filmmaking.

🎓 OUTCOMES & PROJECTS

Q: What kind of projects will I complete during the course?
A: You will complete multiple projects, including AI-driven promos, narrative shorts, experimental videos, and a final showcase film — all suitable for your show-reel or portfolio.

Q: Will I be job-ready after this course?
A: Yes. Even though the academy does not guarantee any kind of job, the course is designed to prepare students for careers in digital content creation, advertising, AI-based video production, and independent filmmaking. You will also learn how to work as a one-person AI film unit if needed.

Q: Can I use these skills for corporate videos, music videos, or ads?
A: Absolutely. SAIF emphasizes practical industry applications of AI filmmaking — from branded content to explainer videos and immersive storytelling formats.

📅 ADMISSIONS & FEES

Q: When does the batch start?
A: The batch starts on 3rd October 2025. Admissions are open till seats are filled.

Q: How can I apply?
A: You can apply online through our website. Click on "Apply Now" button in 'Admissions' section and you will be taken to a google form. Fill up that form and submit. An acknowledgement message will be sent to the applicant and, upon availability, soon a mail with account details will be sent to you for the payment of fees. Once the fees is credited, a confirmation message will be sent. That's all, your admission is confirmed.

A: Full fee details are available on the fees page of the website. We are offering flexible payment options. There are discounts for Early enrolments and full payment before 25th September.
